Fårhult
Fårhult är platsen som utvecklats med kommunikationer allt ifrån landsväg, järnväg och telekommunikation. Omgivning samt höjderna äger avgjort både järnvägens sträckning och placeringen av dem dominerande telemasterna.
Fårhult ligger inom Gladhammars socken inte långt från Torsfalls egendom, var det sedan talet finns ett gruvfält. Ursprungligen bröts här järnmalm och senare koppar samt kobolt. Gruvdriften pågick på denna plats ända in på talet.
Själva byn Fårhult har vuxit upp inom anslutning mot järnvägen, såsom fick sin sträckning mellan Verkebäck samt Ankarsrum inom ett något nordligare samt västligare läge än vad som ursprungligen var tänkt. Anledningen fanns den stora höjdskillnaden likt skulle övervinnas från banans lägsta punkt vid Verkebäck. Här kom järnvägen för att korsa den gamla landsvägen mellan Lunds by samt Kårby samt det existerar halva järnvägssträckan mellan Verkebäck och Ankarsrum. Detta läge var då lämpligt på grund av att anlägga en hållplats här.

Orten utvecklades med diverseaffär och utbildning. Den inledande skolbyggnaden uppfördes och ersattes med ett ny samt större utbildningsinstitution i start av talet när elevantal
